Armenian esports organization Virtus.pro are set to return to the RLCS at the Boston Major with the signing of star North American team [REDACTED], consisting of Jayden “2Piece” Horton, Cohen “Tawk” Hawco, and Dylan “Wahvey” Thanus, alongside veteran coach Michael “MEMORY” Moss.

2Piece and Wahvey, two-thirds of the Shopify Rebellion roster which Virtus.pro defeated at the RLCS 2025 World Championship (alongside Slater “Retals” Thomas), recruited Canadian prospect and NextUp #2 Tawk to [REDACTED] ahead of the start of RLCS 2026. The squad turned heads with their upset of world champions NRG Esports in Open 1 of the season, and progressed to the RLCS 2026 Kickoff LAN with an upper quarterfinals win over 100X35 Esports. At the Kickoff LAN, [REDACTED] continued posting impressive results, including a Game 7 loss to eventual Regional Champions Shopify Rebellion and a 3-0 sweep over EU #2 Ninjas in Pyjamas before exiting in the semifinals to Rebellion.

In Open 2, the squad progressed unbeaten in series to the semifinals (including a win over upstarts M80), where they took revenge on Rebellion in Game 7, coming back from a 3-1 series deficit. Their reverse sweep attempt against NRG in the grand finals ended in Game 6, though their two games taken against the Americans were more than any other team across the event.

Open 3 saw [REDACTED] once again breeze through the GSL Stage before coming face-to-face with NRG. Overcoming an 0-2 deficit to start out the match, a 140 km/h redirect by Wahvey ended the series in a Game 7 overtime, making [REDACTED] the only team to win multiple series over the defending world champions in Split 1. Following another victory over Rebellion in the semifinals, [REDACTED] would again place second to NRG. The trio enters the Boston Major as the third seed out of North America and a dark horse candidate to make a deep tournament run.

Throughout their strong first split, the [REDACTED] trio fielded interest from a wide variety of organizations, including Evil Geniuses, S8UL Esports, Team Heretics, and Fnatic. Saudi Arabian organization ROC Esports, who fielded a top 16 team at the RLCS 2025 World Championship, as well as Chinese organization All Gamers, extended offers to the squad alongside Virtus.pro prior to the Boston Major.

Virtus.pro debuted as an organization in 2003 with their entry into Counter-Strike, and has since acquired teams in over two dozen titles, including League of Legends, DotA 2, and Rainbow Six Siege. They first entered Rocket League ahead of RLCS 2025 Open 5 by acquiring top APAC roster of Leonardo Raffael “Catalysm” Christ Ramos, Gianluca “sosa” Petrozza, Nik Aiman Hakim “Sphinx” Bin Nik Azhar, and coach Jack “mectos” Privitera. After placing 9th-11th in Birmingham under Luminosity Gaming, the trio secured a regional triple crown in Split 2 before exiting 1-3 at the Raleigh Major, taking a 3-0 win over OCE’s #1 seed Wildcard. After a last-place performance at Esports World Cup 2025, the squad bounced back at the RLCS 2025 World Championship, securing victories over Rebellion and MIBR en route to a top 16 finish. Following the conclusion of the World Championship, Virtus.pro parted ways with their roster.
